AICE Media Studies

  For our final task, we created the intro to a movie about a girl being harassed by an unknown person. This project has been, for lack of better words, a crazy roller coaster. I can't wait to see how you guys feel about our creation.

  Today we filmed the house scene. At first everything was smooth sailing. Then I realized I never asked for permission to host the scene at my house. Then when I asked my dad, he said they can't come. This was complicated to our situation. There was no where else for us film and today was the only day. It was even more complicated because Jahriva was already on her way when my dad said no. She took the city bus because she didn't have a ride. So, telling her she can't come anymore was most definitly not an option. I was eventually able to convince my dad. However, he said we had to change the meet time to 7:30 when he should be home. He said he didn't want anyone over while he wasn't home. I then had to try to convince him to let jahrvia come over or let us go to the mall. He eventually said yes but wasn't happy about it.  You would think we've finished filming everything needed for this film by now. That's not the case. We still haven't started the house scene. As far as my knowledge, Shaunette hasn't started editing the other scenes either. So, I decided to bring it up to my group that we don't have the house scene yet. They automatically decided I should film the scene on my own. This wasn't going to work for me. For one, I would've had to act and film on my own. I also had a lot of school work to catch up on. With this, it would've been impossible to successfully complete the scene without risking my other classes. So, we had to find a way to film together. We were no longer able to film at Sarayah's aunt's house. This made things more complicated. We now need a new location. We decided to go with my house because I'm the only other place available.   Today we had plans to film the second scene. This scene will be the park scene. We actually already filmed this scene. However, the scene didn't satisfy myself or my groupmates. So, we decide to refilm it all. Jahrvia and I are seniors. This made filming today harder. Our school decided to hold an important senior event after school. The event lasted until three. This pushed back the time we'd be able to film. We decided it would be best to start filming right after we left the school. My dad wasn't able to ick us up, so we ended up taking an Uber to the Park.  Once we got to the park, none of the other group members were prepared to film.   This Blog will be marking the first day since we got back from spring break.We still haven't done any filming. Like spring break there was still a lack of communication. I didn't realize how close the due date was. When I heard my teacher say the date in class, I checked the calendar to see it's due next week. This caused me to initiate some communication with my group. I informed that the project is due next week. This caused some rush amongst the group. We then decided to figure out a day refilm the park scene. I work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so these days weren't options. Tuesday also wasn't an option because it would be very short notice for our parents. We decided to go with Thursday. This was beneficial because it's an early release day. This meant we would have more time to film. While planning our day, we ran into an issue. Thursday my school is having the annual senior BBQ after school.   Welcome back to the Bloggg!! This past week was spring break. During spring break there was no communication between the group. Although making plans with each other before, everything was quiet. All of the plans that we made were not talked about. No discussions were made during the break. During spring break although I didn’t communicate with my group mates about the project I did think about it.    The lack of communication discouraged me. I also had to work almost everyday during the break. So, this made it even harder. Since, I felt like I had no time I didn’t speak up about filming.
